29th April 2005

hi alll.......a gap of two days and I back again, but the schedule kept me so busy that I didn't really have the time to update things.......but good thing is that I am back again.......

few days back I came across an article where it was written that the Education systems needs a drastic change......and the person who was advocating this change was none other than Mr President.......sir, hats off to your effort.......each one of us knows that there is something seriously wrong and needs an immediate change, but we all are waiting for some miracle to happen and then things will go the right way.......it's a pleasure that you yourself took the initiative in this direction.......god-willing, something good will come out of this education reform process.

I am sure that each of us has soething to say reagarding the current eduaction system, and each one has at least one point through which he wants to make the Education system a better system. and I am sure that you will share those points with me.

now, moving out of this......I would like to share something ........ the reason why I feel that everyone should start bolgging..........but before that I would like to tell you that the first time I read a blog was of my friend's......a very dear friend of mine and needless to mention that he has always been an inspiration to me.
After reading his blogs I found that it's an effortless way to share your thoughts ...... and the best part is that you get into the habit of writing somthing creative..........and there is always an audience to read that.
So I suggest you all to start blogging.......it's the right time to get started.

since I started off with the theme of education reforms so before I sign-off I want to put just one comment on that........ 'Don't teach......just create an environment to learn'.

26th April 2005

Can there be any rhyming with the word 'sarsij' ......today I got one "Sar binu sarsij, sarsij binu sar. Ki sarsij binu soore"
.......this means.....

"The Lotus with the Lake and the Lake without the Lotus have no significance."...........amazed!!!....even I am.

now, back to the point where I left yesterday......

so a very warm welcome to you all......yesterday I went to sleep with some thoughts on India....it's progress etc etc.......and to my surprise when I woke up I already had three meaninful comments (thanks to Ashish, Shiv, and Priyesh....you made my job easier).

So why is India so poor.....whenever I start thinking about this issue I am struck by a question - that what could have so wrong with our nation that still there are some 33% people around the poverty line (all the data used are approximated) and finally after putting in some effort I have finally come up with three points........

First.....India puts too many of its resources into the public sector and neglected primary education and basic health care. Something like $ 14 billion has been invested in the public sector, the return on which has been a laughable 2 to 3 percent. That represents wastage and criminal mismanagement of the economy on a colossal scale. Add to that corruption at every level of public life in India and you have a scenario of economic disaster.

Second....Since the last decade, a belated attempt has been made to set
right the wrongs of the past. And this is reflected in the annual economic growth rates of six to seven percent, double that of earlier years. But the benefits have largely gone to the rich and the middle class, not to the poor. And this just reflects the poor distribution system, and this will only enrich the already rich.

Third....Education and health care are intimately linked to poverty. Studies have shown that the higher the literacy rate of a country, the higher its economic growth rate. This is exactly what has taken place in China, South Korea, Indonesia and Malaysia, where the literacy rate is between 75 percent and 95 percent. In India, it is still 51 percent, among the lowest in the world, giving India the dubious distinction of having the largest number of illiterate people - some 450 million - of any country in the world.

The annual population growth rate is two percent, which means that 18 million persons are added to the population every year -- persons who have to be fed, housed, clothed and educated. And this adds to the already mismanaged economy as a burden each year! Resulting into a viscious cycle.

So condensing the above points into few words I might put the main culprits as the Corruption, dirty politics, absence of proper distribution of the resources........thats it!

And to eliminate all this we have just one resource ..... our will power.

enough of hardcore stuff today....lets cool off with this santa joke....

Why did Santa Open the Tiffin box in the middle of the Road......
Just to check whether he is going or returning from the office.

take care. good night.......and dont forget to comment and come back again!

25th April

hi all......I am back, as I had promised yesterday.
well, before I move on any further I really thank you all for having read the thing ........ and at the same time two people even showed the intrest in sending back the feedback (and a study reveals that the actual number of clicks on a web log page is at least the tens multiple of the the number of feedbacks written......so that ways I am sure that at least 20 people must have read).......this is exciting!!!!!

well, today my focus is on setting the ground rules for this communication (even though not an actual one.....but at least some transfer of meaningful things.....thats what is communication for an Electronics engg).........so the first thing which could play a vital role in the entire process would be writing feedbacks......plz plz plz write the feedbacks....it makes me feel whether I am on the right track or not. Secondly, I go on writing whatever comes to my mind and that way I keep on meandering with my little computer everytime......and only god knows whether that's intresting for you or not, but you can definately put a check on my style.....and also ask me what to add and what to delete.
Next......for me religion is always a secred things.....poverty will always keep hounting me......politics can never be a fair business......girls will always fascinate me......heart-breaks will always be a serious matter to me.....parents are always right, even if you find then wrong..........philosophy appears true but can never be applied in real-life.......and so on. So if at all you find me sticking to these inherent characteristics of mine and and I am unable to defend my standings somewhere in my diary, and you feel like saying ..... 'what shit is all this'...........kindly discount me on those.......afterall I am also somelike you.

Lastely, for today I just wish to take up something serious.......as serious as our careers for ourselves..........a question which most of have asked ourselves but could never ever reach to the answer........I would suggest that after reading the entire paragraph just try to find the answer once again.......may be this time there could be some success.
The Question is quite old but still so fresh.......why is india so poor? I know you feel like kicking me hardest possible, but ask yourself religiously is it not the questions which should be answerd now or else we are a part of the system which is pushing our nation back in time...........so lets try and find out the main culprits in this defunct system.
I will share my thoughts on this tomorrow......until then you keep posting your views.

Feeling sleepy.....Good Night!!!!

24th April 2005

Hi all......this is the first time I am using the blog to express my views, or in better words, letting you peep into my personal diary......b'coz all those things which I am going to write here in this space used to get a place in my personal diary. I am very regular with my diray writing, and so you can take it for granted that I will be very regular here too.......

Hope that I will have a nice time sharing my life with you all.........just keep reading and please keep sending some feedback.......which might not be in my favour, but should be constructive.

Even a single feedback in a week will encourage me big time.

Hope to see you almost daily.
