25th April

hi all......I am back, as I had promised yesterday.
well, before I move on any further I really thank you all for having read the thing ........ and at the same time two people even showed the intrest in sending back the feedback (and a study reveals that the actual number of clicks on a web log page is at least the tens multiple of the the number of feedbacks written......so that ways I am sure that at least 20 people must have read).......this is exciting!!!!!

well, today my focus is on setting the ground rules for this communication (even though not an actual one.....but at least some transfer of meaningful things.....thats what is communication for an Electronics engg).........so the first thing which could play a vital role in the entire process would be writing feedbacks......plz plz plz write the feedbacks....it makes me feel whether I am on the right track or not. Secondly, I go on writing whatever comes to my mind and that way I keep on meandering with my little computer everytime......and only god knows whether that's intresting for you or not, but you can definately put a check on my style.....and also ask me what to add and what to delete.
Next......for me religion is always a secred things.....poverty will always keep hounting me......politics can never be a fair business......girls will always fascinate me......heart-breaks will always be a serious matter to me.....parents are always right, even if you find then wrong..........philosophy appears true but can never be applied in real-life.......and so on. So if at all you find me sticking to these inherent characteristics of mine and and I am unable to defend my standings somewhere in my diary, and you feel like saying ..... 'what shit is all this'...........kindly discount me on those.......afterall I am also somelike you.

Lastely, for today I just wish to take up something serious.......as serious as our careers for ourselves..........a question which most of have asked ourselves but could never ever reach to the answer........I would suggest that after reading the entire paragraph just try to find the answer once again.......may be this time there could be some success.
The Question is quite old but still so fresh.......why is india so poor? I know you feel like kicking me hardest possible, but ask yourself religiously is it not the questions which should be answerd now or else we are a part of the system which is pushing our nation back in time...........so lets try and find out the main culprits in this defunct system.
I will share my thoughts on this tomorrow......until then you keep posting your views.

Feeling sleepy.....Good Night!!!!

sarsij, you are right when you say India is still behind in many areas compared to other countries. But, i think rather than the system(political, cultutural) as in India, lets have a fresh look at other areas in which we Indians are really good and have already made a diference. I am talking of Academics and Research. Indians have proved themselves in intellectual capacities time and again but fortunately/unfortunately in American/european institutions. We need world class academic institutes excelling in quality research work right here in India. The 7 IIT's and IISc and few others have served well but are just not enough for a big country like ours. Eisenhower's resolve for technology and leadership saw the formation of DARPA and other ventures and finally today America is a strong Research and Technology powerhouse. We need such initiatives here in our country, which will make us leaders in pure and applied sciences, biotechnology, nanotechnology, bioinformatics etc. Software is not the only end to technology. India needs 1000's of phds every year, but produces a meagre. My word, equip our academic institutions, recruit quality teachers(phd's) and provide an innovative atmosphere.

Hey Sarsij, I am glad that you also started blogging.

As for your question - I think you need to refine the question further if you really want an answer to this. India is poor - Yes and No - compared to what? But if you ask in absolute terms, yes - India is poor. Short answer - because people are not that hard-working and honest as they should be - not to be cynical - but this is so true. Long answer - I don't have patience to type all that :-) A better question to answer - why is there so much of disparity - can you do something to improve things?

And, yeah, why don't you put better headings rather than just putting the dates.

hi sarsij....
nice 2 c dat u hav started 2 blog.... gud time pass 4 free timers like us.....as 4 ur 2day's questn....."population" remains d root cause in my opinion , 4 india bein poor still. population distributes d earned money drastically n distributed money can't buy quality , so when quality (in all fields of life.....education....work...just anything....) is sacrificed, u can't progress in ur best possible sense which finally drags u back n back further......ultimately makin u poorer.i dont kno if u agree but this is wat i can put 4ward 4 u.
bye.....priyesh.

Hi,

The question posted is really of SOME importance in the current scenario...
U say that india is poor...in response to which I propose that India is not rich but it lacks resources in terms of men, money and material...The 3 M's of basic demand supply theory..
We have an existing and ever rising demand for everything but not enough resources to meet the supply end of the chain.
This can be attributed to skilled labour...raw materials..lack of funds or some other factors...and even when we have good supply, the ability to retain/utilise it is not there...and the stuff that cud have been utilised well, perishes to see nothing worthwhile happening to its life...(I hope am not confusing u)..
Moreover, the brain drain game happening in India is another factor in contribution to its destitution...Attraction of foreign land and lifestyle takes away the existing talent from the country coz the current system cannot meet their demands...
Catering this point to ur thoughts viz. relating the topic to the career....if India can provide with enough reasons to stay in the country...the talent can be maintained..and ripping of the resources can be curbed...
Their is no match to indian brain throughout the world..and this has been proved many a times and in many a fields...all that is required is the retention media for it to be utilised for the growth of the country.
The efficient leaders of the democracy have always been ripping apart the path towards prosperity...thereby creating a feeling of chaos among the performers of the country to be in a catch 22 situation to contribute to the growth of the country...
The economic policies have always been implemented to aggrandize the rich-poor divide...conditions of poverty, hunger have been a barricade in the path of progress....

but still India has always been propagandized as a land of culture and traditions...and Indians are always proud of themselves...

hail India..hail nation...
ciao

The question "Why is India so poor", is infact asked and even answered by us all Indians from all walks of life. The very question defines the situation which brought the mind to think that way. The situation may well be anything that held our foot and kept us in the backstage. We say why why ... me..this place is hell.... The gestures come as a result of frustration, unsuccess, defeat or even self traumas. Calling "poor" thereby comes as a result of a mental comparison of the same situation in a different geographic location. Though the comparison which we make are mostly based on the facts provided to us not the facts we really experience then and there. If we talk of people, we cannot differentiate among the human nature of people living across the globe. Humans are the same wherever we roam. It is the living conditions that puts the exterior cover on them, but inside people's way of thinking can be finely categorized. So the question we are talking about is not only asked by Indians, but the people living all over the world. We add the word "poor" because this word is infact the synonym to nation we live in, though it describes India wholly in terms of economic conditions and that too when compared to only some big names. I feel this question should not be answered as an economic growth strategy, but as an a self development measure. The person who undergoes self assessment should get the answer everytime he asks this question.
